A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2PM at Decatur First United Methodist Church, 300 E. Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, Georgia, 30030.  A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Lineville, Alabama, at a later date.

The grace with which we share our preferences, but also give our loved ones space to grieve and worship in their own way, is one of the ways that we can continue to show our love for them after we’re gone. 

Deciding what to take on and what to leave out is a discernment process.  Lent can do this for us.  As we prepare to come close to the mystery of Easter, what should we pick up that will help us come close to the mystery of the resurrection?  And what will hinder us that we can leave behind?
